As our Enterprise Technical Support Engineer, you will provide technical
support to both customers and partners who are working to implement VMware vSphere and related products.
Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries, primarily via email and telephone and remote session
Resolve any customer technical issues through diligent research, reproduction, and
Work directly with staff in quality assurance, engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and administration to resolve problems
Document all technical inquiries; develop and review content for knowledgebase
Collaborate globally with other region support teams or engineering teams
Strong Linux or UNIX administration skills
Familiarity with the installation and configuration of Linux or UNIX operating systems
Understanding TCP/IP networking stack and hands-on
Good practical working ability with UNIX utilities, including editors and command shells
Knowledge of X86 platform architecture
nowledge of Microsoft (Windows Server, Windows Desktop)
Excellent communication skills
Strong in spoken and written English
B.S. and above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or equivalent majors
Highly Preferred Skills
Hands on experience with VMware vSphere or VMware products
Ability to program and debug Shell/Python administration scripts
Experience with operation and administration of Windows Server
Experience in administration of SAN environment
Familiarity with HTTP/HTTPS protocols
Knowledge of Kubernetes and Container technology
Technical Certifications (MCSE, CCNA, Linux Certifications etc.)
2, Associate Consultant:
Job Description
The Associate Consultant will work with our highly talented and experienced VMware Professional Services Team to deliver creative solutions to our customers to help unlock the benefits of our VMware products. In this role, you will use your technical, consultative, communication, and leadership skills to support the successful implementation of VMware software solutions (Cloud, Mobility, Network/Security) in a variety of industry verticals and customer environments. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the client and other team members on the day-to-day tasks involved with the solution delivery, including, but not limited to: planning, customer assessments, system configuration, testing, training, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
Required Skills:
o Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering and any relevant field of study.
o Passionate about technology.
o Strong analytical skills.
o Excellent social and communication skills (both written and verbal).
o High interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team and customer-facing environment.
Preferred Skills:
o Hands on IT experience from either Internships, Co-Ops, Work Experience and/or Projects.
